That was more than enough run support for Ricky Nolasco (3-4), who held the Angels to three runs on seven hits, while striking out five.
Angels starter Jared Weaver gave up six runs (five earned) in six innings for Los Angeles.
The series continues Tuesday night in LA. Ervin Santana (1-6) is on the mound for Minnesota on Tuesday.
