Minnesota’s smooth start to the NBA season hit a speed bump in Chicago Saturday as the Bulls beat the Timberwolves 87-80, the Star Tribune reported.
The loss ends the Timberwolves’ three-game win streak.
Nate Robinson scored 18 points to lead the Bulls, while Nikola Pekovic led the Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio-less Timberwolves with 18 points and eight rebounds.
Chase Budinger, who scored Friday’s night’s buzzer beater to defeat the Indiana Pacers, suffered a twisted knee in the loss. KMSP-TV’s Dawn Mitchell tweeted that the X-rays revealed there was no damage.
The Timberwolves dropped to 4-2 on the season with the loss.
