Bud Grant’s garage sale wraps up Friday and it’s the place to be if you’re looking for some awesome outdoor gear, football memorabilia or a really good laugh.
Grant delivered an excellent joke on Thursday when he poked fun at the New England Patriots’ “Deflategate” scandal.
On a sticky note attached to a football, Grant wrote, “These balls are not from New England (Air pump broken).”
Pro Football Talk got a good laugh out of it, saying the fact that the formerly intense head coach’s use of a “sad face” might be the end of the internet.
The Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady were found by an investigator to have intentionally deflated footballs below the league standard in an effort to make the footballs easier to throw.
But don’t get too used to Grant’s humor on Twitter. The coach told the Pioneer Press that he’ll remove himself from Twitter as soon as the sale ends Friday evening.
