Hearts are heavy around the NFL on Friday following the death of Baltimore Ravens cornerback Tray Walker.
Walker’s death hit close to home for Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. The two were teammates at Miami’s Northwestern High School.
Walker died from injuries that he sustained in a dirt bike crash in Miami. Miami-Dade police indicate that he was riding a Honda dirt bike with no lights and wearing dark clothing when he collided with a Ford Escape on Thursday night.
Walker was listed in critical condition at a Miami Hospital on Thursday night, but the team confirmed Friday that he had.

The news hit many hard around the NFL, including Bridgewater, who paid tribute to his teammate and friend on Instagram.

Walker, who was drafted in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL draft, played in eight games last season – his only season in the NFL.
Walker was 23.
