Ten days after being traded from the Twins to the Dodgers, Brian Dozier finally found some spare time to say “thank you” to Minnesota.
“After a crazy few days, I want to take a second and say thank you to everyone in Minnesota and twins fans across the Midwest,” Dozier wrote in an Instagram post.
“I’ve known one organization since 2009 and writing words on here cannot fully express how blessed I’ve been to call Minnesota home and be surrounded daily with unbelievable people within the Twins organization, amazing fans and phenomenal people in and around Minneapolis….y’all are freakin awesome. Cheers to you, twins fans….you will always have special place in my heart.”

After spending his entire career with the Twins – joining the big league team in 2012 – Dozier has given the Dodgers an immediate boost by hitting .333 with two homers, three doubles, seven RBI, six walks and just five strikeouts.
His .481 on-base percentage is way above the .305 OBP he posted with the Twins.
The Dodgers are 63-52 entering play Thursday, just a half game behind the Diamondbacks in the National League West.
