Brett Favre did the “Ice Bucket Challenge.”
In a video posted on a site he endorses, Sqor.com, Favre, in a white shirt, had a bucket of ice water dumped on his head. Naturally, with muscles bigger than ever, Favre showed off his guns by wearing a sleeveless shirt. Fans can only see the video right here.
Favre then challenged country music stars Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney, and Indianapolis Colts backup quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.
The challenge was started by Peter and Julie Frates, a Massachusetts couple with a goal of raising awareness about ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), better known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
After being challenged, a person has 24 hours to dump a bucket of ice water over their head or donate $100 to the ALS charity of their choice. After completing the challenge, you can challenge three more people.
ESPN did a special feature on Frates over the weekend. Frates, 29, has an incredible story. ESPN tells it well. Take a look for yourself.
The Ice Bucket Challenge has raised millions of dollars thus far.
Ice Bucket Challenge Update: Last 3 weeks have resulted in $15.6M in donations to @alsassociation & its chapters (+766% increase).
