There were no cameras chasing his vehicle down 494, there were no helicopters flying overhead watching as he pulled into Winter Park, but Brett Favre was at the Vikings’ training facility on Friday.
No, Favre was not there to challenge Teddy Bridgewater as the Vikings starting quarterback. He may be heading into the Packers Hall of Fame this summer, but the man many called the “Silver Fox” dropped by to visit friends – the few that remain from his final season with Minnesota in 2010.

Favre led the Vikings to a 12-4 record and the NFC Championship game in 2009, before falling to the Saints 31-28 in heartbreaking fashion. He returned in 2010, but Favre the Vikings failed to recapture that same magic.
There are only a few holdovers from his time in purple and gold. Chad Greenway, Brian Robison, Phil Loadholt, John Sullivan, Cullen Loeffler and Adrian Peterson are all that remain.
But a visit from a legendary quarterback like Favre was also exciting from a pair of Minnesota’s younger receivers.

And then there’s second-year quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who recently said Favre is the quarterback he hopes to compare himself to by the time his career is over.
