On Wednesday, Vikings wideout Greg Jennings said he was “brainwashed” in Green Bay, implying that’s what the Packers did to keep players in line.
Today, Packers coach Mike McCarthy responded, but without mentioning Jennings’ name.
According to espnmilwaukee.com, McCarthy told reporters that everybody on the field knows that the Packer brand comes first and if a player wants to then develop his individual brand, then he should “go for it.”
McCarthy addressed the issue in his morning news conference today. You can see his response (at about the 5:20 mark) in this video clip, via Packers.com.
One store manager of a Green Bay-area store was so upset with Jennings’ latest comments that she gave away every Greg Jennings item.
