Boston boots Blackburn early, crushes Twins, 11-2

Nick Blackburn’s first start back from shoulder stiffness didn’t last very long Tuesday night. Boston booted Blackburn from the game after three innings, en route to a 11-2 win at Target Field. Blackburn allowed five runs on eight hits before being yanked from the game.
