The St. Louis Blues sent the Minnesota Wild to a sixth consecutive loss, 2-1 Tuesday night at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
The six straight losses are a new franchise record, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Minnesota failed to score until defenseman Ryan Suter fired a shot into the back of the net with 8.3 seconds left in the game.
The goal put an end to St. Louis’s 212-minute, 52-second shutout streak against the Wild.
After a scoreless first period, the Blues struck twice with goals by Minnesota native T.J. Oshio and Jaden Schwartz.
Other than the pair of goals allowed, Josh Harding made 21 saves in a solid effort for the Wild. His counterpart Brian Elliott was fantastic for St. Louis, stopping the first 24 shots that came his way before Suter snuck one by him on the final Wild shot of the game.

As tough as another loss is for the Wild, St. Louis’s Chris Stewart’s night was a lot worse when he had to leave the game after a shot by Jason Pominville hit him in the face.
Note: Spring Lake Park native and Blues captain David Backes did not play. He’s out with an upper-body injury.
