The St. Louis Blues finished off a season sweep of the Wild with a 2-0 win at Xcel Energy Center Thursday night.
It’s the second straight game the Wild has been shutout, and third time in the last four games.
The Wild started the game fast and missed a couple of near scoring chances, including a shot from Jason Pominville and dinged the pipe.
Blues goalie Brian Elliott has been one of the toughest goaltenders to score on of late. He’s pushed his shutout sreak to 189 minutes and 31 seconds. He made 23 saves in the game.
On the other hand, the Wild’s scoreless streak has reached 121 minutes and 35 seconds.
Note: Wild defenseman Ryan Suter left the game with an apparent injury.
