C.J. McCollum of the Portland Trail Blazers must be afraid of competition because he thinks the Timberwolves should have to take an automatic loss because the floor at Target Center was too slippery for a safe game on Monday.

The game was postponed and rescheduled for April 3.
McCollum was likely venting frustration because the rescheduled date gives Portland an extra back-to-back late in the season. They fly to Minnesota April 3 and then play the next night in Utah. Overall, they play six games over the final 10 days of the regular season.
The Wolves, meanwhile, also have to play a back-to-back because of the rescheduled date. But even worse than what Portland is dealing with, the Wolves play seven games over the final 10 days.
The Blazers have won four in a row and “Nurk fever” has taken over in Portland. Jusuf Nurkic, whom the Blazers acquired in a trade with Denver, had 28 points, 20 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 blocks in Portland’s overtime win over the 76ers Thursday night.
Key games Friday night:
- Boston at Denver
- Golden State at Minnesota
- Washington at Sacramento
- Brooklyn at Dallas
