Nick Blackburn’s run with the Twins could be coming to an end very soon.
The right-handed starter was scheduled to undergo surgery on his right knee to repair a torn meniscus on Friday. The operation ends his season, and likely his career with the Twins.
It is the third surgery Blackburn has had in the past year.
The Twins have an $8-million team option on Blackburn for the 2014 season, and it seems highly unlikely they will pick it up.
