The Vikings finally confirmed the reports from earlier this week that former Packers inside linebacker Desmond Bishop did indeed workout for the Vikings.
Defensive coordinator Alan Williams told the Pioneer Press that Bishop had a “good workout.”
Williams didn’t speculation on whether he thought the Vikings would or could sign Bishop, but the Vikings aren’t the only team showing interest in him. Bishop is expected to visit the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday.
If Bishop ends up signing in Minnesota, there’s no guarantee that he’ll start at middle linebacker. ESPN reports that teams around the league view Bishop as an outside linebacker.
Bishop missed the entire 2012 season because of a torn hamstring. In 2010 he led the Packers defense with 95 tackles.
