Former Minnesota Vikings center Matt Birk has a new job as an NFL appeals officer, according to NBC Sports.
Birk, who attended Harvard University, replaces the recently retired Art Shell.
As an appeals officer, Birk will listen to the complaints of players who are fined for on-field issues.
The other appeals officer is Ted Cottrell — a former defensive coordinator for the Vikings.
Birk retired after helping the Ravens win the Super Bowl last season.
