The Minnesota Gopher hockey team won the Icebreaker Tournament at Mariucci Arena on Saturday night when they defeated New Hampshire 3-2.
Gophers right winger Hudson Fasching had a big night. He finished with a goal and an assist to help lead the Gophers to the win.
Trailing 1-0, Fasching tied the game at one helping them to pull even. Fasching then assisted when Sam Warning helped the Gophers pull even at two with a power play goal.
Then late in the second Vinni Letierri put the Gophers on top late in the second.
Adam Wilcox stopped 21 shots, 14 of those saves came in the third period.
#Gophers GT Wilcox saving the day on 6-on-5. Makes two great saves, New Hampshire calls timeout with 7.3 remaining.
