Timberwolves 95
Nuggets 78
Minnesota’s two top draft picks showed some promise Friday night as they led the Wolves to a 95-78 victory over the Nuggets in Denver.
1. Towns time!
To say top draft pick Karl-Anthony Towns has made an impact in his first two games in a Timberwolves uniform would be an understatement. After a double-double in his debut Wednesday night, Towns responded with quite the encore in Denver.
He finished with 28 points, 14 rebound and six blocks. This was just a taste on one full possession Friday night.

2. Cold Nuggets
Neither team shot the basketball very well, but the Nuggets nearly missed water when they fell out of the boat. They shot just 30.5 percent(29 of 95) from the floor for the night.
They were worse from the three-point line, hitting on just 5-of-25 from deep.
3. Wiggins bounces back with a big night
Andrew Wiggins bounced back after a quiet season-opener in Los Angeles. The reigning NBA Rookie of the Year, put up 18 points and grabbed four rebounds.
Together he and Towns combined for 46 of Minnesota’s 95 points.
