The Houston Rockets beat the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night 112-101.
The Rockets picked up the victory without their leading scorer James Harden. Instead, it was Aaron Brooks who picked up the slack for Houston, he scored a season-high 26 points. Brooks entered the game averaging 2.8 points a game, but Saturday night he had the hot hand as he knocked down four 3-pointers and scored 16 points in the 2nd quarter.
Terrence Jones and Dwight Howard also had double-double’s for the Rockets. Jones finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds while Howard scored 11 and grabbed 13 boards.
Kevin Love scored 27 points he grabbed 15 rebounds for another double-double. Corey Brewer had 22 points and Kevin Martin had 19.
The Timberwolves bench was incredibly ineffective combined they scored just 12 points.
