A talented Michigan team beat the Gophers at Williams Arena, 83-75, Thursday night. The Gophers fell behind by 19 points early in the second half and never found a way to climb all the way back.
The Wolverines led 36-30 at the half and pushed the lead to 19 with a 20-to-7 run to start the second half.
The most glaring stat of the night was Minnesota’s horrendous shooting at the free-throw line. They shot 17-27 for the game, but missed nine freebies in the second half.
Austin Hollins led the Gophers with 21 points.
