Vikings backup defensive lineman Christian Ballard was placed on the active/left list Sunday, according to the Pioneer Press.
Head coach Leslie Frazier says Ballard away for personal reasons.
“Hopefully, things will work out for him. But he has some personal things he has to get taken care of,” Frazier said.
Frazier tells FOX Sports North that “we were counting” on Ballard to be part of the defensive line rotation.
Being away from the team doesn’t mean Ballard will get cut, but it definitely doesn’t make his roster spot guaranteed.
