We haven’t seen defenseman Keith Ballard since he took a puck to the face Oct. 14 against Buffalo.
It may be just the beginning of Ballard’s absence.
After missing practice today and leaving practice early yesterday, head coach Mike Yeo said the team is going to “hold him off for a couple days.”
Ballard has missed the last three games and will likely miss tomorrow’s home matchup with Nashville with Yeo’s comments today.
Minnesota will not confirm the exact nature of Ballard’s injury, but the Star Tribune’s Michael Russo has said Ballard looks “foggy and hurting”, while Yeo has stated when Ballard has been on the ice, that his leaving practice early is because he hasn’t felt well.
Earlier today the Wild shuffled lines, as they continue to look for solutions to their offensive issues, having scored more than two goals in a game just twice this season.
