With Josh Harding away from the team to adjust his multiple sclerosis medication, Minnesota continues to struggle in net, as they went down 4-1 in New York to the Rangers.
Niklas Backstrom, who once again got the start for the Wild in goal, gave up four New York goals, and has now lost his last six times in net.
We’d call this the lowlight of his night.
On the other side, Cam Talbot was solid in net for the Rangers, stopping 24 Minnesota shots.
The Wild scored first, his team-leading 17th goal of the season, but New York answered with four straight goals from four different skaters to get their 17th win of the season.
One of the only highlights for Minnesota came on this hit by Matt Cooke.
The Wild go after it again tomorrow night at 6:30 against the Flyers in Philadelphia.
