Cut just one month ago by the Vikings, Audie Cole has returned to the club and made an impact in his two starts for Leslie Frazier’s squad.
The head coach is rewarding Cole for his continued sharp play by once again starting the North Carolina State alum at middle linebacker Sunday against Baltimore.
Frazier confirmed the news at his press conference today, adding a small shot that at former starting middle linebacker Erin Henderson in the process.
Frazier: "Erin was moved to MLB not because that's what we wanted to do but it was the plight we were in." – Ouch

Frazier atoned for his jab at Henderson by naming him the starting weakside linebacker over Marvin Mitchell for Minnesota’s matchup against the Ravens.
Frazier also noted at his presser that he did have a conversation with cornerback Chris Cook, who was ejected Sunday against Chicago, and that Cook “knows he’s going to get hit pretty hard in the pocket,” referencing an expected NFL fine that will be levied against him. Frazier did not make it sound as if further discipline would be assessed against Cook by the team, and added that he just needs to “make plays and be disciplined.”
Also if you missed it, Matt Cassel is expected to start under center Sunday for the Purple Sunday with Christian Ponder still not symptom-free of the concussion he suffered last week.
