The attorney for Timberwolves forward Dante Cunningham said he does not believe the second of two criminal allegations recently made against his client will hold up.
The Star Tribune reports a team official said the reserve forward will be in the lineup tonight at Target Center.
“I have been close to the case from the beginning,” attorney Emanuel Serstock told the newspaper. “The allegations [of terroristic threats] we totally deny.”
The 26-year-old Cunningham was charged on Friday with felony domestic assault over allegations made by the woman who shares a home with him, in Medina.
He was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of making terroristic threats through text messages to the woman. Bail was set at $150,000, he left the Hennepin County jail after posting bond Monday.
It was his second arrest in three days.
According to the Associated Press, police said they had received a call from the woman in the early morning hours on Sunday saying Cunningham had contacted her, violating a protection order.
A police statement read, “When the officer arrived and reviewed the messages, they were direct and rose to a terroristic level.”
Cunningham surrendered Sunday and turned over his cellphone and computer as part of the investigation.

Cunningham joined the Wolves in Orlando on Saturday and started in the absence of the injured Kevin Love. The NBA and its teams typically do not discipline or suspend players until the legal process is completed.
Cunningham issued a statement through the Wolves Tuesday afternoon.
“The charges and accusations in my personal life have unintentionally placed my teammates and the organization in a challenging position. I cannot comment on the charges, as we require that the facts play out through the legal process. Thank you for your understanding.”
The Wolves host the San Antonio Spurs tonight. The game was rescheduled for tonight after smoke in a Mexico City Arena, where the teams were supposed to meet, forced it to be postponed.
