For one night only, the Atlanta Hawks were the Minnesota Timberwolves’ biggest fans.
A Wolves win would get them into the playoffs, and as a result give the Atlanta Hawks their first round pick for the next NBA draft.

Naturally then, the Hawks were very invested in Wednesday’s decider between the Nuggets and the Wolves, knowing a win for Minnesota would get them that extra pick.
And in a masterstroke, the Hawks changed their Twitter name for the night to “Timberwolves’ #1 Fans,” and played the role of cheerleaders for the evening, to the amusement of Wolves fans and the Hawks’ 1.2 million followers.
