If losing by double-digits in football is bad, then losing by double-digits in baseball really bad, right?
The Twins (65-88) were lit up by the Athletics, 11-nothing in Oakland Friday night.
It’s the fourth loss this month in which Minnesota has allowed 10+ runs.
Oakland took control of the game with three runs off Andrew Albers in the third inning.
The A’s added a run in the fourth, and five more in the fifth — three of which came around to score on a throwing error by Twins shortstop Eduardo Escobar.
That’s 88 losses for the Twins, who are nine games away from another rough season from ending.
