The Twins bats were all over the Cleveland Indians in their 9-3 win on Sunday that clinched the series 2-1.
Willians Astudillo made his season debut behind the plate and like he always does, he put on a heck of a show.
Astudillo went 2-2 with two doubles and two RBI in the victory.
According to Aaron Gleeman of Baseball Prospectus, Astudillo has the highest batting average of all time (minimum of 100 plate appearances).
So let’s just put him in the Hall of Fame right now at this point.
Nelson Cruz also hit his first home run for the Twins, with a towering blast that was measured at 427 feet with an exit velocity of 109 miles per hour.

Cruz finished 3-5 at the plate and was a triple short of the cycle.
Other than Eddie Rosario, every player in the starting lineup collected a hit with Polanco, Cruz, Schoop, Cron, Astudillo and Buxton having multi-hit games.
Buxton also picked up his third double of the year and drove in two.
On the pitching side, Michael Pineda was dominant, allowing zero runs and punching out five batters in four innings but was on a pitch count as he’s recovering from Tommy John surgery.
Martin Perez, Trevor Hildenberger and Ryne Harper all pitched in the win too.
With the victory the Twins improve to 2-1 on the season and hit the road next week for 12 days where they’ll face Kansas City, Philadelphia and the New York Mets.
