Adrian Peterson says he will play again this season … probably.
“That’s my plan,” Peterson told USA Today’s Tom Pelissero when asked if he plans to play again. Peterson added that his surgically repaired knee is doing well and he’s currently running and cutting like a running back needs to.
But Peterson said it would be “pointless” to return this season if the Vikings fall out of the playoff race, according to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.
The Vikings are in the thick of the playoff picture and with four games to go. Peterson did not say if he will play this week at Jacksonville.
