Aramark’s M Hospitality will be serving all the food and beverages when the Vikings move into their new, as-yet-unnamed home in 2016.
The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority and the team announced Friday they decided to pursue negotiations with Philadelphia-based Aramark out of a field of six applicants, according to the Pioneer Press.
Minnesota Public Radio reports that Aramark does the food and beverage at Chicago’s Soldier Field, Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Reliant Stadium in Houston and 10 other NFL stadiums, as well as TCF Bank Stadium at the University of Minnesota.
The Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal notes that Aramark already does the suite catering at the Metrodome and also also provides services for UnitedHealth Group and General Mills. The Journal also reports that Morrissey Hospitality, Centerplate, Levy, Delaware North, and Legends, all send applications to the sports authority.
Vikings team vice president Lester Bagley tells MPR Aramark will “bring local flavors, local restaurants into the mix.”
