Vikings rookie safety Harrison Smith says he just got caught up in the heat of the moment.
Smith was mixing it up with Tennessee Titans receiver Nate Washington during Sunday’s Vikings win, and eventually pushed referee Steve Freeman.
Not a good move.
As a result, Smith was ejected from the game. Afterwards, he issued an apology, telling Fox Sports North,“It’s just unacceptable.”
The quick apology didn’t go unheard. Today, coach Leslie Frazier said Smith will not be fined or suspended for his actions.
