The Vikings officially have some big shoes to fill.
Veteran defensive back Antoine Winfield picked the Seahawks over the Vikings, signing a one-year deal with Seattle on Friday, according to Josina Anderson of ESPN.
“It was a very tough decision for me because of the relationships that I have in Minnesota,” Winfield told Anderson. “I’ve been there nine years. I’ve had some really great coaches, teammates and fans there. I’m very grateful to the Vikings organization for my experience.”

Winfield was released by the Vikings last month — a move that saved Minnesota about $7 million.
With Winfield gone, the Vikings re-signed defensive back A.J. Jefferson on Friday.
