It doesn’t sound serious, but Anthony Edwards suffered a sprained ankle at practice on Wednesday. Timberwolves radio announcer Alan Horton is reporting that the injury is “not expected to be serious,” but it’s blow to the league because the games are on the international stage in Abu Dhabi.
Anthony Edwards (ankle) will NOT play in tonight's preseason opener vs. Mavericks in Abu Dhabi.
Ant turned his left ankle in practice yesterday, it's not expected to be serious.

The Timberwolves are playing the Mavericks Thursday and Saturday as part of the exhibition series. After playing a total of five preseason games, Minnesota will open the regular season Oct. 25 on the road against the Toronto Raptors.
That means Edwards has just 20 days to get his ankle healthy enough to be on the floor for the season opener.
