NFL Network just wrapped up their annual “Top Players of 2016” countdown on Wednesday, with Adrian Peterson ranking in the top five with two other Vikings making the list too.
After the countdown finished, NFL Network made a list of ten players who just missed the cut and Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr was on the outside looking in at No. 101.

The voting process is done strictly by NFL players and despite his spectacular development, Barr seemingly has yet to capture the attention of his peers around the league.
When was Barr was drafted in 2014, he had only played linebacker for two years at UCLA after spending the his first two years as a running back.
Even in the video above, Adrian Peterson stated he had no idea who Barr was when Minnesota selected him.
Despite not being on this list, Barr was on Pro Football Focus’s list of their top 101 best NFL players. In fact, Barr was the highest rated Vikings player on that list at No. 20.
Pro Football Focus list looks at how players performed relative to what is expected from their position.
