Lindenberg is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound linebacker rated as the eighth-best 2020 recruit in Minnesota, according to 247 Sports. He’s the third high school player from Minnesota to verbally commit to the Gophers, joining Rosemount wide receiver Jonathan Mann and Winona defensive end Aaron Witt.
The top-ranked high school player in Minnesota in 2020, according to 247 Sports, is Minnehaha Academy outside linebacker Kaden Johnson, followed by his teammate, quarterback Jalen Suggs.
Suggs is a four-star recruit in football and a five-star basketball recruit, ranked among the best in the country.
The No. 3 recruit in 2020 is Iowa State-bound Buffalo High School quarterback Aidan Bouman, the son of former Vikings quarterback Todd Bouman, who now coaches at Buffalo H.S.
Mann and Witt are ranked fourth and fifth, respectively.
