Minnesota Gophers junior guard Andre Hollins has been named to the preseason Wooden Award watch list, according to the Star Tribune.
The list includes 50 of the nation’s top players. The field will be reduced to 20 players at midseason.
Hollins led the Gophers in scoring as a sophomore last season at 14.6 points per game.
The award, named after legendary UCLA coach John R. Wooden, is the most prestigious award in college basketball.
