The NFL’s trade deadline passed at 3:00 p.m. CT today. Rumors were swirling about Vikings defensive end Jared Allen all day, but Allen was not dealt, despite a chorus of rumors.
Deadline passed. Unless something happened at the last minute, I'm told #Vikings made no trades and that includes Jared Allen.

As expected, #Vikings didn’t trade Jared Allen. Salary, lack of interest, few suitors with cap space — all played a part.

“Proud to still be a Viking,” Allen wrote in a text message to Jay Glazer. “I watched all the trade stuff like everyone else. It is a part of this business. 100% committed to turning this season around.”
The Vikings waived tight end Chase Ford and re-signed defensive end Justin Trattou. The move happened a little over an hour before the deadline was set to pass, so it fired speculation that Minnesota was signing a defensive end to fill the void a trade for Allen would leave.
THE REST OF THE RUMORS
True that Adrian Peterson trade rumors have been scurrying about for a few weeks, but no one seems to be taking them seriously.
Unless you write for ESPN.com and have imagined a scenario where the Vikes deal AP to the Giants to shore up their quickly deteriorating defense by getting defensive end Jason Tuck in the the deal.
But wait a minute: The Vikings just signed defensive end Brian Robison to a contract extension, and have Allen, who is still counted by some to be en elite pass rusher.
Another piece says that Minneapolis native and Arizona Cardinals star Larry Fitzgerald isn’t going anywhere, the same conclusion The Sporting News reaches in this piece.
This site thinks Allen is agitating to get traded, as evidence by a video where he maybe, possibly, may be saying “I’ve never played on a defense this bad in my life.”
Here’s a roundup of all the possibilities in one place, here. And you can count on every word.
