Friday night, Paul Molitor told the media he would decide in the next 24-48 hours whether or not to call up Bartolo “Big Sexy” Colon to the big league rotation. 24 hours later, Twins fans have their answer: Bartolo Colon will take the mound Tuesday against the New York Yankees.
Colon is scheduled to land in the Twin Cities Sunday to join his teammates as he embarks on his 10th stint with a different MLB franchise since making his debut in 1997.

Colon will be the 28th pitcher used by the Twins already this season. Last year they set a franchise record by trotting out 29 different hurlers to the mound.
The 44 year old Colon will hope his outing Tuesday with the big club will be better than his one start at Triple-A Rochester, where he lasted just 3.2 innings and surrendered 4 runs.
Make sure to tune into Tuesday’s ball game if you want to catch a glimpse of the “Big Sexy” era beginning here in Minnesota.
