
Karl-Anthony Towns obliterated the Hornets to help the Wolves improve to 2-0 on the season with a 121-99 victory in Charlotte Friday night.
It’s back-to-back road wins for the Wolves to start the season, and on Friday night they overcame a 15-point deficit and wound up winning by 22 points.
Towns finished with 37 points, 15 rebounds, eight assists, four steals and two blocks. He connected on 4-of-7 threes and made 13-of-18 shots overall. KAT’s big game came on the heels of his 36-point, 14-rebound performance in the season-opening overtime win over the Nets.
“I played pretty bad,” KAT said after the game in an interview with FSN.

The turning point Friday was the third quarter, when Minnesota turned a two-point lead at the half into a 22-point lead entering the fourth quarter after outscoring the Hornets 45-25 in the third.

The undefeated Wolves are off Saturday before hosting the Miami Heat in the home opener at 6 p.m. Sunday. Jimmy Butler will not make the trip as he’s yet to debut this season after the birth of his daughter earlier this week.
