TMZ Sports caught up with Adrian Peterson for a couple of seconds over the weekend. The reporter was able to fire off a couple of questions about Peterson and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.
The answers to both were brief.
He said Bridgewater is “doing good” while adding that he doubts Bridgewater’s serious knee injuries from last August will keep him out the entire 2017 season.
Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole reported Jan. 27 that Bridgewater is expected to miss the entire 2017 season and he likely won’t be back in football mode until February of 2018. Later that day, Bridgewater’s agent told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Cole’s report “had zero substance and no credibility.”
When asked about his own future with the Vikings, Peterson said “time will tell.”
The aging running back is due $18 million in 2017, including a $6 million bonus if he’s still on the team March 11, meaning his future in Minnesota will likely be decided in the next five weeks.
