UPDATE: 3 P.M. WEDNESDAY
Rodgers did not practice on Wednesday and said he suffered a sprained knee in Sunday’s win over the Bears. According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Rodgers said he feels “a little better day” and that he’s hoping to play this week against the Vikings.
Original story
Aaron Rodgers said “oh I’m playing next week” just minutes after he led Green Bay to a comeback win over the Bears on Sunday night, but now he’s not speaking with as much confidence about his playing status.
“We’re taking it one day at a time,” Rodgers said Tuesday on The Dan Le Batard Show. “One day at a time.”
You can hear that portion of the interview in the video below, beginning at the 1:08:24 mark.
The Packers were cautious enough at the time Rodgers got hurt that they chose to have him carted to the locker room, only to see him rise from the dead and pick apart the Chicago defense in what many are calling one of his most impressive career accomplishments.

As much as Rodgers probably wants revenge against the Vikings after linebacker Anthony Barr essentially ended his 2017 season, the Packers would be insane to let him play against a fearsome Vikings defense if there’s any risk that Rodgers’ knee injury could worsen if he doesn’t let it heal properly.
Then again, they let him play on Sunday night so they must not think it’s that bad.
Scouts have told ESPN that even though the Vikings are superior to the Packers at every position group except quarterback, Rodgers is good enough to stand in the pocket – just like he did against the Bears – and pick apart the defense with quick throws.
If Rodgers doesn’t play, the Packers would have to turn to backup quarterback DeShone Kizer, whom the Vikings beat last year in London when he was with the Browns.
