Does God like football?
Who knows, but Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is well known for saying he thinks God is a Seahawks fan. He said as much following Seattle’s victory over the Packers in last season’s NFC title game.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was quick to dismiss God’s role in the game, telling ESPN Milwaukee he doesn’t think “God cares a whole lot about the outcome.”
Fast forward eight months to Sunday night, where the Packers avenged their season-ending loss with a 27-17 victory that dropped the defending NFC champs to 0-2.
Rodgers, with some snarky wit, gave God credit for the win: “And then getting help from God. I think God was a Packers fan tonight, so he was taking care of us,” Rodgers said, according to ESPN.

Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman gave his take:
“That was a not-so-veiled Jesus burn at Seattle’s Russell Wilson, who often says God is a Seahawks fan. It was an unnecessary shot, but it showed that even Rodgers’ insults don’t miss their targets.”
Freeman has been impressed so much so by Rodgers this season that he’s calling the Packers the best team in the NFL and Rodgers, maybe, the best quarterback ever.
The Packers are 2-0 and lead the NFC North by one game over the 1-1 Minnesota Vikings.
By the way, Rodgers hasn’t thrown an interception at home since Week 13 of the 2012 season, when Vikings safety Harrison Smith picked him off.
