In a fight for their playoff lives, the Wolves got beat at home by the tanking Memphis Grizzlies last night.
“Hard to explain,” said Wolves coach Tom Thibodeau.
Ya’ think?
The miserable loss pushed the Wolves to 8th place in the Western Conference, and fans are sick and tired of watching their bumpy ride to the bottom of the playoff race.
A tweet from the Timberwolves showing the final score received 266 replies, many of them saying “fire Thibs” and plenty more featuring a Jimmy Butler “what the f*** was that?” GIF.

Wolves fans, Thibs lost his first Wolves game to Grizz. This Grizz loss should be his last game with Wolves.

WCCO’s Mark Rosen used an old Gary Gaetti euphemism to describe the loss, saying it’s tough to win with two hands around your throat.
It’s painful watching the Wolves trying to find a way of beating these awful Grizzlies. Hard to shoot the ball with both hands around your throat. #gaetti

This Wolves game is more painful than childbirth.

If you ever worry that you've been a bad son, consider this: I got my mom tickets to this Timberwolves-Grizzlies game as a birthday present.

As painful as child birth? Eh….that’s a stretch, but the next few responses aren’t.
There’s been A LOT of embarrassing moments for this franchise, but this loss is one of the most humiliating losses

Fortunately, the Wolves have two more cupcake games this week against the Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavericks, so they have a chance to redeem themselves beginning tomorrow night.
