Fans of the Minnesota Twins appear to be waiting in the dugout.
The Twins announced a drop in the number of season ticketholders who have renewed for the upcoming season. The Business Journal reports that the team sold 1.8 million tickets for 2013.
Last year the Twins had sold 2.2 million by this time. Two seasons ago, attendance was 3.17 million.
Excitement about the team may get a boost this weekend. More than 25,000 fans are expected at this weekend’s TwinsFest at the Metrodome. This might be the last year the annual event is at the Dome, depending on the construction schedule for the Vikings stadium on the site.
