The hockey Gophers got back to their winning ways Saturday night with a 4-1 win at Minnesota State University-Mankato, The Associated Press reports.
The win comes a day after the Mavericks derailed the Gophers 10-game unbeaten streak with a 2-1 last-minute loss.
Freshman goalie Adam Wilcox was in the nets for the top-ranked Gophers (18-4-4, 10-4-4), who were bolstered by power-play goals by Nate Schmidt and Zach Budish.
Justin Hull and Erika Haula also scored goals for the Gophers, and Zach Lehrke scored the only goal for the Mavericks (16-9-3, 10-9-1).
The Gophers next play Feb. 8 when they take on the Huskies in St. Cloud.
