Is Minnesota Vikings superstar running back Adrian Peterson an Olympic athlete? Peterson told Yahoo Sports he believes he could beat Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt in a race and is trying to qualify for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
“I feel like I can stand up to any challenge,” Peterson said. “I know a lot of people laugh and be like ‘come on, let’s be real with yourself — it’s Usain Bolt,’ but I feel like you can accomplish anything you put your mind to.”

Peterson needs 208 yards in Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers to break Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record, NBC Sports reports. He tore his ACL and MCL in his left knee just 12 months ago.
