This is pretty straight forward Wolves faithful.
We don’t remember what it’s like to be a part of the NBA playoffs anymore, so in this continuing series, we’ll live vicariously through the 2003-04 Minnesota Timberwolves, most likely once a week.
Last week, we brought you Latrell Sprewell’s first game against his former team, New York, as a member of the Wolves.
This week, we bring you one of the classic Kevin Garnett performances against the Sacramento Kings, featuring some late-game heroics.
MINNESOTA 112, SACRAMENTO 109 (OT): With the Wolves trailing by six down the stretch in Sacramento in a season the two sides would become extremely familiar, Garnett put the Wolves on his back and did this to get his team to overtime.

It was a shocking turn of events considering Garnett made only 11 three-pointers in 2003-04, but he picked a perfect time to hit back-to-backers to give Minnesota a chance to secure the W.
The Wolves would do exactly that, as Garnett, Sprewell, and Sam Cassell would score all 10 Minnesota points in overtime to escape with a win.
Spree would score a game and season-high 37 points, while the Big Three combined for 96 points.
Garnett’s statline was particularly impressive, posting 33 points and 25 rebounds, the latter of which remains a career high for The Franchise.
It was Minnesota’s second win on a run of games that would see them go 9-1.
