Unable to secure A.J. Pierzynski and Jarrod Saltalamacchia earlier this offseason, the Minnesota Twins have secured their veteran catcher after all, agreeing on a one-year deal with seven-year pro Kurt Suzuki Friday.

The deal is pending a physical, which according to Slusser is already scheduled for this afternoon, so the deal could be official before the day ends.
Suzuki has spent all seven of his MLB seasons with Oakland, while also playing parts of 2012 and 2013 for Washington.
The 2004 draft pick is now 30, and is a .253 lifetime hitter who has not eclipsed the .240 mark in a season since 2010.
