All-Pro cornerback Xavier Rhodes is officially inactive for tonight’s game between the Vikings and Saints at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Rhodes injured his ankle in last week’s victory over the Jets and was carrying a questionable tag with him through the week of practice. With Rhodes and Mike Hughes (torn ACL) out, the Vikings will rely heavily on Trae Waynes and Mackenzie Alexander to slow down a potent Saints passing attack.
Defensive tackle Linval Joseph (ankle/knee) was questionable but is active and will play.
Left tackle Riley Reiff (foot) was listed as doubtful and as expected will not play for a second consecutive week.
Minnesota was already going into the game without linebacker Anthony Barr (hamstring), safety Andrew Sendejo (groin), left guard Tom Compton (knee) and running back Dalvin Cook (hamstring), so the absence of Rhodes and Reiff brings that total to a cringeworthy six starters out with injuries.
#Vikings starter changes:
Offense
RB: Latavius Murray for Dalvin Cook

LT: Rashod Hill for Riley Reiff
RT: Brian O'Neill for Rashod Hill
Defense
