Muhammad is scheduled to undergo the surgery at Mayo Clinic on Monday, the NBA reports.
While Muhammad was on the injury report Friday, he played for almost 13 minutes against Phoenix and put up seven points.
The Wolves have been riddled with injuries of late, with Ricky Rubio, Kevin Martin and Nikola Pekovic sidelined for a lot of the season, according to the Associated Press. Muhammad stepped in to fill those gaps, but he missed 16 games himself earlier in the season due to an abdominal injury, the Pioneer Press reports.
The NBA reports Muhammad started in 13 games this season, played in 38 games and averaged 13.5 points.
Also on the injury list is Anthony Bennet, who’ll be out for two weeks with an injured right ankle, the AP reports.
