Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor joined “The Scoop” podcast with Darren Wolfson earlier today and he talked a little bit about the fast-approaching 2 p.m. trade deadline.
“No I don’t,” said Taylor when asked if he sees a Ricky Rubio trade in the works. “It’s just a few hours away and there’s nothing that’s out there right now where we’re just kind of waiting for the other team or anything like that. It would have to be something that would change in the last few hours that I don’t even know about right now.”
As for the rumors about a possible Rubio trade to the Knicks for veteran point guard Derrick Rose, Taylor thinks that’s just noise coming from New York media.

“We’ve been approached and asked about Ricky by probably three teams,” Taylor said. “I just don’t see that we are in a hurry to get rid of any of our players right now. That’s not to say that if somebody came up with something that really looked helpful for our team in the long run that we wouldn’t make the move.”
